Concept analysis
Gulf Shade can assist with the full conceptualization process by developing, advising and providing clients with concept ideas from scratch or aid in the direct development of concepts with the client in order to achieve the highest rate of realization. The key pillar of Gulf Shade’s high rate of success with both product and idea conceptualizations is the long-standing experience the company has in the extensive creativity and talent pool it retains. As well as the most up to date technology it holds which form the bases for successful concept realization.
Engineering
Gulf Shade specializes in fabric and structural engineering. It has its very own in-house bespoke consultancy and highly specialized fabric engineering team who only uses the latest specialty software to work on the project at hand. CFD technology, is one of our most recent additions which enable us to study the wind effects on fabric and foil structures. The designing stage at Gulf Shade, includes design analysis of fabric such as form finding, membrane stress analysis, cable sizing, pattern engineering and 3D modeling. The Company also specializes in the design and detailing of steel structures and other accessories that are required to ensure successful completion of the engineering.
Detailing
Gulf Shade’s Engineering Department provides a complete and in-house steel and fabric detailing service to clients.
Fabrication
Fabric patterning is a critical stage of production wherein the final 3D shape is patterned into two-dimensional fabric panels which can be PTFE, PVC, ETFE. These are then welded with special welding machines to ensure that the intended 3D shape is formed which must match the assumed architecture.
Installation
Gulf Shade provides installation services supported by high quality professionals and experienced technicians in the field of fabric and foils. Our team of technicians are able to travel to any location to build and finish the project for the client.
Maintenance
Gulf shade also offers a yearly contract for maintenance services, to ensure the best performance on any part of the structure required. Regular site visits and inspections, can be provided as per the client’s specific requirements.
